Public Engagement Communications (COV1)

This workshop, including time for questions, will be delivered by those involved in responding to the initial outbreak across London and will share lessons learned, handling public engagement and how these can be applied in different scenarios.

Who should attend?

Directors of communication, heads of units/branches within a communications department, other senior advisors and emergency planners

This session will cover:

  • Developing an effective communication strategy
  • Engaging with and influencing hard to reach groups
  • The importance of working with partners
  • Understanding the needs of central government and how to work effectively with them
  • Managing demands and expectations
  • Do’s and don’t’s when it comes to managing COVID-19 comms
