Learning from COVID-19 (COV1)
This workshop, including time for questions, will be delivered by those involved in responding to the initial outbreak across London and will share lessons learned, along with practical steps for handling the potential of a second outbreak.
Who should attend?
Directors of communication, heads of units/branches within a communications department, other senior advisors and emergency planners
This session will cover:
- Developing an effective communication strategy
- Engaging with and influencing hard to reach groups
- The importance of working with partners
- Understanding the needs of central government and how to work effectively with them
- Managing demands and expectations
- Do’s and don’t’s when it comes to managing COVID-19 comms
Duration – 90 minutes including 15 minutes for Q&A

Courses will be held during September, October and November.
